Now these Healthy Potato And Brussels Sprout Dipping Tots are so delicious and easy to make!
You can replace the Brussels sprouts with any vegetable you like really, from broccoli to kale or even peas!
We have a similar recipe made with broccoli ( Healthy Dippy Broccoli Tots ), but the reason why I made these with brussels sprouts, is because its the festive period! At least in the UK, brussels sprouts are eaten at Christmas!

Not many people like brussels sprouts, but you have got to think of them as mini cabbages, they are really good for you and taste so good if you cook them right.
These dipping tots are a perfect way to use brussels sprouts.

This recipe is perfectly consumed on its own, as a snack, or as a side to your main dish, either way, these tots are delicious!

How To Make Dipping Tots:

Easy! You will need to cook the potatoes and brussels sprouts in salted water, then once cooled slightly – mash them together.
Garlic and onion are cooked in some olive oil, then it’s added to the mashed potatoes and sprouts, together with some salt and spices.
Then the tots are shaped, add to a baking tray, and brushed with olive oil.
Finally, bake them to perfection!

A delicious healthy gluten-free and plant-based snack or a side dish to make!

  • 2 1/2 cup/400g of peeled and diced potatoes
  • 2 heaped cups/200g of Brussels Sprouts
  • 2 medium-sized shallot or white onions peeled and diced as finely as possible
  • 4 cloves of garlic peeled and minced
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1-2 tsp of Olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Freshly ground black pepper


  • Boil the sprouts and potatoes in salted water until just cooked and soft not mushy. Strain, and leave them to cool.
  • While the potatoes are cooling, cook the diced shallots until soft with some oil in a pan. Add the garlic to the shallots and cook for 1 more minute.
  • Grate (or mash) the potatoes and sprouts and put them in a mixing bowl. Add the onion mixture to the potatoes and add the salt and pepper to taste.
  • Mix everything together, and shape your tots. They should easily be formed and hold their shape. Place the tots on a lined baking tray with parchment paper, and brush them with some olive oil. Bake for about 35 minutes or until crispy on the top in a preheated oven at 400F/200c.
  • Serve these Healthy Potato And Brussels Sprout Dipping Tots with your favorite dipping sauce, or simply serve them as a garnish to your main meal!



Store the cooled leftovers in an air-tight container in the fridge and consume them within 3 days,
