Is Lancome Cruelty Free 2023

As someone who used Lancome before going vegan, down the line I asked myself – Is Lancome Cruelty Free? Does Lancome Paris test on animals? And all these questions.
After doing some research, I found that there are some people claiming that they are cruelty-free, and others don’t believe so, such as The Cruelty-Free Kitty.
In the end, I really had to dig the whole internet and contact some people to get to the bottom of this.

So, Let me share my findings then!

Is Lancome Cruelty Free 2022

Is Lancome Cruelty-Free

No, Lancome is not cruelty-free! According to Cruelty-Free Kitty and many other sources, Lancome isn’t cruelty-free. The parent company of Lancome is L’Oréal. L’Oréal is known to sell its products to China, and what that means is that they are DEFINITELY testing on animals in order to be sold in China.

It’s a law in China, that every product should be tested on animals first before it’s tested on Humans. Now, Lancome may not be tested on animals to be sold in the USA for example. but they do test them on animals in order to be sold in China. For me personally, this doesn’t make it a cruelty-free brand.  They don’t care about the animals or being cruelty-free, it’s all about the money. And naturally, China is a big buyer.

Is Lancome Vegan And Cruelty Free

Lancome isn’t either vegan or cruelty-free. Lancome has connections to being tested on animals, either directly by the parent company or via a third party.
As vegans and cruelty-free peeps, Lancome is to be avoided like the plague.

Does Lancome Sell In China?

Yes, Lancome sells in China, making it 100% unsuitable for vegans and cruelty-free people. China has a law that every product should be tested on animals first before it’s distributed to humans.

Is Lancome Vegan?

No, they are not. Even though they do have vegan-friendly products, as a vegan, I still wouldn’t use them, due to the fact that they have many many products that are tested on animals.

However, if you are not particularly strict vegan, then you can certainly use their vegan-friendly products.
