I know that there aren’t many people out there who particularly like oats or just porridge in general. But!! Let’s remind ourselves first before we hate them how good and beneficial oats are to our bodies. Check out our article that’s explained the health benefits of oats in detail!
Also, you can make oats taste delicious, it all comes down to how you cook them and top them! They are the perfect warm breakfast to start your day on the right track; filling you with fiber, complex carbs and a bit of protein!
If you want to make an even bigger nutritious bomb for breakfast, top your porridge with a handful of nuts or seeds, a handful of mixed berries and even a banana if you like!




The Ultimate Healthy Nutritious Porridge

In this particular recipe here, I have done just that, but I even added a bit of peanut butter and this is literally the most nutritious, filling and healthy breakfast you can have!
All you need to make  The Ultimate Healthy Nutritious Porridge is:

Porridge Oats

Dairy-free milk, I personally used Almond

Fresh fruit of your choice, I used blueberries and raspberries and a banana

Seeds or nuts, I used almond flakes, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds

Peanut butter (I would recommend making your own, it’s a lot healthier! Recipe — Peanut Butter)

Pinch of cinnamon (or two, if you like extra cinnamon like me)

The Ultimate Healthy Nutritious Porridge

Put your oats in a saucepan and add the dairy-free milk. Cook on the hob on medium heat for about 5-6 minutes. Transfer into a bowl and add your toppings and you are done!

Serves 1

Ingredients:

45g of porridge oats

200ml of dairy-free milk

Pinch of cinnamon

Optional toppings:

Half a banana, sliced

A handful of raspberries A handful of Blueberries

A handful of mixed seeds and nuts

1 tablespoon of peanut butter

Method:

1. Put the oats in a saucepan and add the dairy-free milk and cinnamon. Cook on the hob on medium heat for about 5-6 minutes.

2. Transfer into a bowl and add your toppings.
