I had an abundance of avocados that I need to use up ASAP, and I thought maybe I can make a delicious healthier vegan brownie.
These avocado brownies have got no sugar, they are purely sweetened by dried fruit. You could say that this brownie recipe falls into the healthy side of things. But they still taste so good.

Furthermore, you can make the recipe yours, by adding your own desired ingredients, you can substitute some, and you can get so creative!
How To Make Vegan Avocado Brownies With Almond Flour
You will need the following ingredients:
- 2 cups/ 450g tightly packed dates, unpitted (about 20)
- 1 medium avocado, ripe
- ¼ cup/60ml plant milk
- 2 tablespoons of melted coconut oil
- ½ cup/50g of cacao powder
- ¾ cup/75g of almond flour
- ½ cup/66g of sunflower seeds
- ⅓ cup/50g dairy-free dark chocolate chips
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of sea salt
To make this brownie – add all your ingredients to a food processor or a good-quality blender, and blitz until creamy.
Spread the brownie batter onto a pan and add your desired toppings. Bake, cool, and enjoy!

GOOEY Vegan Avocado Brownie Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups/ 450g tightly packed dates pitted
- 1 medium ripe avocado peeled and stone removed
- ¼ cup/60ml dairy-free milk
- 2 tablespoons of melted coconut oil
- ½ cup/50g of cacao powder
- ¾ cup/75g of almond flour
- ½ cup/66g of walnuts roughly chopped
- ⅓ cup/50g dairy-free dark chocolate chips
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Line a 8″ brownie tin with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 175° (350°F).
- Add the dates, avocado, milk, coconut oil, vanilla extract and salt to a food processor and blend until you get a smooth mixture.
- Place the date paste into a bowl and add in cacao powder, almond flour, walnuts, baking powder, and chocolate chips. Use a spatula to mix everything together into a smooth sticky batter.
- Scoop the batter into the brownies pan and carefully even out (wet the spoon for easier handling of the sticky batter).
- Place the brownies into the oven and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown on top.
- Let the brownies cool down completely before cutting!
