With veganism rising daily, new and new products come to the market. But what about face wash? Which one is the best?
A ridiculous amount of typical in-store products for skin care and beauty contain animal by-products or are tested on animals. It is utterly ridiculous! It should not be so hard to find a decent face wash when you are vegan!
Do not fret though, this is exactly why I went out looking, researching, and hunting. I did the hard work, a full-scale investigation, to save you time! So, I have found you all the information you will need to find the ideal vegan face wash for you!
What Is A Plant-Based Cleanser?
Plant-based cleansers are simply facial cleansers/ face washes, which contain absolutely no animal ingredients. This does not guarantee they are cruelty-free however, nor does it guarantee that they are eco-friendly. It simply means they contain only plant-based ingredients!
What Is The Best Vegan Facial Cleanser?
Now, I will start off with my favorite. This is the top vegan facial cleaner in my opinion:
Bliss Fab Foaming 2-In-1 Cleanser
Now, what I love about this is that it is very inclusive, it is for all skin types. What is even better is that the whole company is cruelty-free, and they are heavily vegan. So, they know what they are on about.
This cleanser is a cleanser & exfoliator with an oil-free gel and it comes with bamboo buffers!
Another thing that sets them above the competition is how they are free from phthalates, SLS, and parabens. Bliss has been around for a while, and they have done enough research to learn from trial and error, and being mostly vegan, they have that trust-worthy factor we all want.
- Cruelty-free and mostly vegan company.
- No parabens.
- 2 in 1.
- Comes with bamboo buffers!
- Not too good for skin that’s too sensitive.
What Face Wash Is Not Tested On Animals?
If you want a face wash that is quality but is totally cruelty-free, I would go with the above option or…
The reason is that this cleanser is for all skin types, which is a rare find. It is also totally organic, so your skin doesn’t suffer any harsh chemicals, which is a rare find when it is also cruelty-free and vegan!
I checked it over and it is hypoallergenic, vegan, cruelty-free, non-comedogenic, and paraben free. But, what it does best is its uniqueness, it is totally unisex, and is hand-made organically. Its packaging is even eco-friendly!
- Regenerates your skin, and reduces scars.
- Neutralizes radical damages while hydrating your skin.
- Prevents sebum buildups.
- Eco-friendly, vegan, and cruelty-free!
- Organic oils are not ideal for everyone.
Best Vegan Face Wash
Now, we all have different skin types, and if my first two suggestions do not appeal to you or your unique skin, let me show you some other options!
Vegan Face Wash For Sensitive Skin
For sensitive skin, the best is Christina Moss’ Original Vegan Face Wash.
This product is simple. It is clean, non-toxic, cruelty-free, and does not come with any potent odors. It looks small but lasts a long time. Oh, and it uses all-natural ingredients to help sensitive skin. All it contains is aloe vera juice, olive oil, coconut oil, and a rosemary extract.
- Organic and all-natural ingredients.
- Concentrated, so a small dollop lasts a long time.
- A well-known skin-care brand with a series of vegan products for every part of a skincare routine.
- Contains aloe vera, so not suitable for those with allergies.
- It’s Expensive.
Vegan Face Wash For Oily Skin
If you have oily skin, I recommend No B.S. Gentle Foaming Cleanser.
This product is great for oily skin or combination skin. No B.S. Is an epic brand who are well known, they are also pretty popular in the vegan community, so you know that they are qualified and trustworthy.
The addiction to this product is how only one drop can easily remove makeup. This one also contains green tea extract and cucumber. So, it smells divine!
- Easily wipes off makeup.
- Popular brand.
- Aloe vera, so those allergic cannot use it.
- Pricey for its size.
Men’s Vegan Face Wash
For men, I would have to recommend Zelen Life Cleanser. Being unisex, it doesn’t just fit men. Men can have different skin types as well, and therefore the best skin product for EVERY man will be a unisex brand.
Considering it is ideal for reducing damage and healing scars, it is the perfect cleanser, even if you work a rough job where your skin suffers a lot!
Best Vegan Acne Face Wash
Now, I am going to go a bit wild with my final pick. Finally, I picked ‘Tata Harper Clarifying Cleanser. The clarifying cleanser is great for treating acne!
This product choice is even better due to a totally new concept… barely! Yes, Hordeum Vulgare leaf juice, or barley, is in this! The only issue I have with this is that the vegan cleanser does have some strange and questionable ingredients, such as honey, which not all vegans will agree with!
- Unique ingredients.
- Hygienic pump bottle.
- Really good for treating acne.
- Contains Honey.
Best Vegan Face Wash At Target
Target’s best choice is Pacifica Wake Up Beautiful Dream Jelly Face Wash. It is paraben, sulfate and cruelty-free, and vegan, but also super affordable!
Best Vegan Face Wash In Drugstore
Dermalogica Clear Skin Wash helps you get clear skin and stay vegan. It exfoliates your skin, and fights against breakouts while being packed in recyclable packaging too!
Vegan Face Wash UK
I love Simple Daily Skin Detox Purifying Face Wash with Witch Hazel. It comes in planet-friendly packaging, is totally vegan, PETA approved and is mineral free with no harsh chemicals. What’s better, it is easy to get!
Vegan Face Wash In Walmart
Walmarts best option for vegan face wash is the Organic Skin Co. Facial cleanser, it is unisex and is for all skin types, oily, dry, or aging skin alike.
If you are worried that there aren’t many good vegan face wash brands, you are totally mistaken.
Based on the list above that I have put together for you, these products are ones that I swear by and use regularly!
