Are Takis vegan? – Everything You Need To Know
A quick guide on Takis! If you are a vegan and you are wondering “are takis vegan?” then you have come to the right place!
Let’s face it, it’s not always easy to find vegan snacks…especially snacks you used to eat before going vegan. I used to adore cheese and onion chips, however, since going vegan, I have found it difficult to find a good alternative.
Takis are one of those snacks I tend to eat when I am feeling like eating something naughty.
So, Are Takis Vegan or Not?
Yes, yes yes! But, there is a but… some flavors aren’t vegan…so always make sure you read the ingredient list when purchasing takis.
I will drop the typical ingredients of takis below:
Corn Masa Flour (Processed With Lime), SOYBEAN and/or Palm and/or Canola Oil, Iodized Salt, Sugar, Natural and Artificial Flavour, Citric Acid, SOY Protein, Yeast, Monosodium Glutamate, Malt dextrin, Sodium Diacetate, Partially Hydrogenated SOYABEAN Oil, Artificial Colours (Red No. 40 Lake, Yellow No. 6 Lake), Onion Powder, Hot Chili Pepper (Chile), Sodium Inosinate, Silicon Dioxide (Anticaking), Antioxidant (BHT, Tbhq, Propylene Glycol, BHA).
As you can see, there is nothing to suggest that they are not vegan. No dairy, no butter, nothing of that sort to be seen.
They are obviously not the healthiest snack out there, but they are so delicious!
If you are looking at a healthier alternative, try this brand, they are a-m-a-z-i-n-g!
Which Takis Are Vegan?
These generally tend to be the ones I go for when buying takis:
3. Salsa Brava
4. Takis: Blue Heat
These are vegan takis. Now go get some takis, cos some of ’em are vegan and you can still enjoy them!
So this was my quick guide on Are Takis vegan? – Everything You Need To Know – I hope you found the answer you were looking for.
