I have had a couple of friends asking me – is dark chocolate vegan? The answer is, mostly yes, but always check the ingredients of the package. In this smoothie recipe I am using cocoa powder, but again, always make sure you check the ingredients, in case there is some hidden milk powder!

Vegan Chocolate Mousse Smoothie
- 1 tbsp of cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp of oats
- 1 tbsp of sweetener like date paste, or maple syrup
- 1 cup/200ml of dairy-free milk
- 2 dates - or other dried fruit of choice
- half a banana
- half an avocado
- Peel the banana. Scoop the flesh out of the avocado and add all the ingredients to a blender. Blitz for 2-3 minutes.
- To make the smoothie less thick, just add more dairy-free milk or water.
